Flash Writer from Macromedia is a freeware plug-in for Adobe Illustrator that allows you to export your graphics in the Flash file format.
Flash files offer vector flexibility, compactness, and quality for high-performance image delivery on the Web. As binary files, Flash graphics are extremely compact and can stream from any Web server. Once you have exported your graphics as Flash files, you can post them directly to the Web or open them in Macromedia Flash 4.0 and add increased interactivity, sound, and animation.
Note: The download link leads you to a form that you must fill out to obtain the software. Once you have completed the form, Macromedia will send you a serial number via email that will let you unlock the Flash Writer download.
