General CleanTool is our recommended program for uninstalling any Nero software. After you uninstall a program, simply re-install it to begin using it again.
Uninstalling a Nero product did not work correctly? Use Nero General CleanTool to delete all remaining Nero entries from your system.
Please proceed as follows:
Download the Nero General CleanTool, save this file to your desktop. Unzip the ZIP-file with WinZip or WinRAR and save the content to your hard drive. Double-click on the unzipped EXE-file to start the CleanTool. The window “Nero General CleanTool” will open. The Nero products installed will be displayed.
Check the boxes next to the Nero products you want to remove. Then click the “Clean” button. A status window will open. The execution of the tool may take several minutes.
Please wait until the progress bar has moved completely to the right. In the window “Nero General CleanTool” click the “Exit” button as soon as the erasing procedure is completed.
Reboot your computer. The Nero General CleanTool has removed all selected Nero entries from your computer.
Please note:
First make sure you have your Nero 7 serial number to install Nero/Nero Express with. The serial number should look like this:
1C80-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx (Nero 7)
- It should be located on the inside of the Nero jewel case the Nero CD came in. You can also open Regedit (a program in C:\Windows), and go to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ahead\Nero-Burning Rom\Info" and obtain your Nero 7 serial number there.
- Double-click the EXE file to start the program. If you wish to uninstall all Nero programs, check the "Clean All" box and then click on the "Clean" button. Otherwise, simply check the boxes next to the programs you wish to uninstall and click the "Clean" button. After you finish uninstalling the desired software, restart your computer so that all registry entries will be removed.
- InCD 5 can be removed completely.
Please note:
Uninstalling a program also removes all related plug-ins. Please make sure you have saved these files so you can re-install them afterwards.
- The General CleanTool recognizes if a program is still running and requests a shut down and it can remove files after a reboot in case they are still in use.
- You are able to execute the CleanTool even when you have to start your computer in "Safe Mode".
