Publisher's Description of Coolumns
" Protect cool columns from filling up completely in five addictive puzzle games. "
- From vmGames
Columns Classic is an addictive puzzle game like Bejeweled or Lines games. Test your wits in this original, new type of puzzle game. Progressively difficult skill levels challenge your mind. Listen to several amazing soundtracks as you try to keep the game pieces from filling the columns. You can even customize the screen design to set the right mood for your gaming experience!
Full Version Features: Unlimited game play. Play in 4 different skill levels. Undo and Redo up to 80 turns of game. Save your games to start where you left off. Amazing full screen graphics and music soundtracks. Customize the background and gameboard design. Record your 120 top scores.
Overview: Cool columns are stacking up and the only way to keep them from reaching the top is by moving pieces around the board. Line up pieces (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) in groups of 4 and they'll disappear, leaving you more room to work in. Careful, though, every time you make a move without completing a line, new pieces will be added. Can you play the longest and reach the highest score? Simple to learn, yet full of strategy.
Playing Coolumns Classic: The playing board is divided up into a series of squares and columns. In each column is a stack of playing pieces. Click on one of the pieces at the top of a column. Once selected, the piece will start jumping. Then, click another column on the board and the selected piece will jump there. Your goal is to line up 4 or more pieces in a row vertically, horizontally or diagonally. Once a line is complete, the pieces will disappear. If you make a move that doesn't result in a line being formed, the computer will randomly add more pieces to some of the columns. If a stack reaches the top, the game's over. If you're unhappy with a move you've made, place your mouse over 'Menu' in the upper left hand corner. When the menu appears, click 'Undo'. Click 'Redo' if you change your mind again.
