Microsoft Office Accounting 2009 Service Pack 2 (SP2) includes the latest updates for the U.S. version and the U.K version of Microsoft Office Accounting Professional 2009 and of Microsoft Office Accounting Express 2009.
This service pack includes stability and performance improvements.
New features
The following features are added in Service Pack 2 for Accounting Professional 2009 and for Accounting Express 2009.
New features that apply to the U.S. versions of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009, and to the U.K. versions of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009
* The ability to import journal entries by using the "Excel Import" functionality.
* The "Item Cost" column is added to the list of available columns in the Item List.
New features that apply to the U.K. versions of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009
* Payroll now has an automatic calculation for the "Statutory Adoption Pay (SAP)" pay type and for the "Statutory Maternity Pay - Adoption" pay type.
Issues
The following issues are fixed in Service Pack 2 for Accounting Professional 2009 and for Accounting Express 2009.
Issues that apply to the U.S. versions of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009, and to the U.K. versions of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009
* You experience slow performance when you compress records.
* When you try to export an "Item List" report to Microsoft Office Excel, you receive the following error message: "There was a problem starting Excel." This problem occurs if an item has alphanumeric values in the Vendor item No. field.
* When you try to save a manual check for an employee, you receive the following warning message: "You have changed the following field Home Address."
* The Country field is blank if you save a new address for a customer, for a vendor or for an employee.
* Job credit transactions are not added to the "Job Costs" feature of invoices as expected.
* When you import the customer information from a Microsoft Office Excel spreadsheet, the Mobile phone field overwrites the Business phone field.
Issues that apply to the U.K. versions of Accounting Professional 2009 and of Accounting Express 2009
* You cannot change a document number to a lesser numeric value. This issue occurs even if the document number has never been issued.
* When you generate the "Profit and Loss by Department" report, you receive the following error message: "Data cannot be saved because it is too long." This issue occurs if the report includes more than 16 departments.
